The Migrant Settlement Service supports newly arrived migrants to overcome the social, emotional, and wellbeing challenges that can occur when moving into a new community, and a new culture.

WHAT THIS SERVICE CAN PROVIDE

  • General information, advice, and referrals relating to:
    • Accommodation; such as linking in with real estate agents and short stay accommodation.
    • Health Care providers
    • Schooling options
    • Employment and training providers
    • Mental health supports
    • Connection to community groups and organisations

WHO THIS IS TYPICALLY FOR

  • Newly arrived migrants:
    • Struggling with integration into a new community and culture
    • Facing social isolation
    • Experiencing difficulty with language barriers

WHAT IF I NEED AN INTERPRETER?

Centacare Family Services have access Translating and Interpreting Services (TIS) through the Department of Home Affairs for people with limited English language to support you in your appointment.
