Get Involved
Family violence is an issue that impacts the whole community, and so Centacare is inviting all the Midwest to be part of the Act with Kindness, Not with Violence campaign. By raising awareness of the impacts of family violence, and challenging attitudes that reinforce it, people can take a stand and work towards a community that priorities safety, equality and respect for all.
Spreading community awareness about the impacts of family violence, as well as how it can be prevented by challenging unhealthy attitudes, is a crucial aspect of this campaign. To help increase community awareness of these issues, special information sessions have been designed for workplaces, schools and sporting clubs.
Information sessions are available to any organisation and are free of charge. If you are interested Centacare will arrange to come to your organisation at a day and time that suits to deliver a session. Sessions are flexible in duration (from 30 minutes to 60 minutes), so that they can easily be included in staff meetings. Centacare is also happy to discuss any other requirements your organisations may have.
Please feel free to contact Centacare on 99211433 to find out more information about how your workplace, school, or sporting club can become part of this initiative.
