OVERVIEW

Offer information, conduct assessments and provide options and support to assist clients manage their financial situation more effectively. To provide Emergency Relief funds when required.

Financial Counsellors teach people how to maintain their own financial stability independently.

WHAT THIS SERVICE CAN PROVIDE

  • Independent financial advice
  • Advocacy and support in seeking debt waivers, or payment plans
  • Information on low and no interest loans
  • Emergency relief in the form of food vouchers for local supermarkets
  • Financial education to support future financial stability

WHO THIS IS TYPICALLY FOR

  • People experiencing financial crisis or in poverty.
  • People at immediate risk of falling to financial crisis and/or poverty.
  • People experiencing homelessness.
