Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Last Updated – 27 March 2020

Information for Centacare clients and visitors regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

On a daily basis we have access to a significant amount of information (and misinformation) about the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Centacare is very aware of the seriousness and varying impacts COVID-19 may have on our staff, clients and the wider community. Avoiding the spread of the virus will largely depend on our collective and individual responsibilities. As individuals, we need to ensure that we follow Health Department recommendations regarding hygiene and behaviour when with and around others. As an organisation, we have a responsibility to protect staff and clients and prevent the transmission of the virus into our buildings. In order to do this Centacare has closed our front offices, however our services are otherwise OPEN and we are here to SUPPORT you by way of other available mediums as appropriate.

Please contact our Centacare Office on 9921 1433 or the Family Relationship Centre on 9921 2611 if you need clarification about how your appointments will occur.

As at 22 April 2020, and as an exception to the above conditions, our Children’s Contact Service are still operating a face-to-face service for Changeovers only.  In order to do so our staff and clients must strictly adhere to the guidelines from the World Health Organisation on infection control which include disinfecting and sanitising protocols.

We understand that these are very difficult and challenging circumstances for everyone and thank you for your understanding. Until we see you again, please look after yourselves and your families, practice self-care, gratitude and kindness.
