Current Volunteer Opportunities List
Here is a list of some of the volunteer opportunities available in your community:
Centacare Family Services – Mothers-Group-Volunteer Centacare SNUGGLES is a Mums and Bub’s group for expectant mums and mothers with infants up to 8 months.
We are looking for a volunteer to help out every Tuesday for a few hours from 8:45am – 11:45am ( during school terms).
Your role will include, helping with setting up and welcoming the mums and bub’s, helping with morning tea, assisting the mums if needed and then helping with packing up.

St John of God Hospital– Volunteer-Gardener As a volunteer your duties include cleaning courtyards, ponds, paths and reticulation repairs. You will also be required to assist in other areas including edging, pruning and weeding. The volunteering role is for Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8am – 12 noon. Although these hours may be flexible and includes morning tea and lunch.

Geraldton Community Toy Library – Volunteer-Toy-Librarian Geraldton Toy Library are seeking volunteers to help families engage their children in play-based learning.
If you are looking for a rewarding experience that allows you to give back to your community, make new friends, learn new skills and have fun.
As a volunteer you will be required to be available Tuesdays and Saturdays from 9.30am -11.30am.
Your valued role as a Toy Librarian will include, counting and returning toys on our online database, counting and loaning new toys, giving library tours, visual merchandising and library presentation, along with general cleaning to ensure that library is always clean and safe for the children and families. Geraldton Cultural Trust – General-Gardening-Volunteer This position will suit a person who’s contented to work alone, who enjoys being outside in the fresh air and working in a peaceful environment. This volunteering role would ideally suit a person who has an interest in gardening and general maintenance. Basic gardening skills are all that is required, this includes weeding along with sweeping leaves and rubbish. Equipment is available and, if necessary, training can be provided. Days and Times are flexible to suit Volunteer. If gardening whilst giving back to the community appeals to you then contact us today
St Vincent de Paul Society(Geraldton) – Vinnies-Shop-Assistant Vinnies offers opportunities for members of the community to give their time, talents and other skills to assist the less fortunate members of our community by volunteering to work in Vinnies Shops.
Volunteers assist in the Vinnies shops to provide affordable clothing, furniture and other items at affordable prices. Volunteers will assist with sorting clothes, books, bric-a brac and presentation. Volunteers are also required to serve customers and assist with collection of donated goods. Storage and packaging of food will also be required. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet and interact with others, to meet Centrelink requirements by volunteering, gain additional work experience in retail and improve English skills.
No experience is necessary and full training and on the job support is provided by Vinnies staff /volunteers.
By volunteering in our shop you can be sure you’re making a difference to people in need. For many volunteers, this is a chance to give something back to the community and to use their skills and experience to make a difference in the lives of people who need assistance the most.
