Geraldton Greenough Sunshine Festival Inc- Treasurer: A fantastic opportunity has become available for a volunteer Treasurer to join the Geraldton Greenough Sunshine committee for 2019! Bring your financial skills to this role as a Treasurer for the Geraldton Greenough Sunshine Festival. Busy periods of this role are from August – October 2019! The Committee will be having their AGM @ CityHive 6pm Wednesday 13 March. If you feel you the right experience of financial control and budgeting along with good communication and interpersonal skills, then Express Interest today!
Australian Red Cross – Retail Sales Volunteer: Volunteers are urgently needed Wednesday- Friday 12.30-4.30pm. Assist with customer service, receiving and sorting donated goods, window dressing, stock preparation, cleaning store, pricing and other duties as requested by store manager. Volunteering is a fun and sociable way to belong to your community. Become a Red Cross Shop volunteer and give back in a whole new way!
Go Gero Van Volunteer– The Van goes to various locations around town to provide a shopping opportunity to those who are unable to get to the premises. The elderly, disabled & those with families but without cars all fall into this category. The van carries a range of stock that mirrors what’s on our shop shelves – dry goods, fruit & veg & meat. Foodbank are currently looking for a Volunteer to operate the Go Gero Van 2-3 days a Week from 7.30am – 12pm! The suitable volunteer will need to have a current Drivers Licence and be able to engage with the public in a friendly manner. Mission to Seafarers – Meet and Greet Volunteer: Do you enjoy meeting people from all around the world? MTS are looking for enthusiastic Volunteers who have a welcoming disposition to assist seafarers from around the world with practical and social support. Volunteers would always work another person and run a small shop where you sell products, offer the hire of laptops, offer literature and you may change foreign currency (Training provided). You may also be needed to assist with other odd jobs that are required around the shop at different times.
Communicate WA – Group Facilitator: Communicate WA is a support network in Western Australia for people experiencing communication difficulties after a stroke or acquired brain injury and to raise awareness about aphasia. A volunteer group facilitator is required to be there to help group members chat socially, make new friends, assist in practicing and improve communication, make a cup of tea and have a laugh too. You will be provided with training about the role and will have another volunteer with you. The group meets Monday afternoons at the Geraldton Regional Library!
