Financial difficulties can produce stress that affects many areas of our lives. Our assistance includes emergency relief and financial counselling.

Emergency Relief – Geraldton

Helping people in financial crisis by providing financial or material aid and connecting them to services to build financial resilience and capability.

WHAT THIS SERVICE PROVIDES

Aims to provide assistance and information to people in need financially. This service is provided to assist people in a non-discriminatory manner regardless of ethnicity, age, gender, disability or religion.

WHO THIS IS TYPICALLY FOR

Low Income individuals and families receiving Centrelink benefits or an employed person/s who hold a current Health Care Card.

WHAT THIS SERVICE ENTAILS

To provide vouchers for emergency relief e.g. food, prescriptions and education. Also to assist people to budget for current and future needs.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

To refer to other organisations where Centacare is unable to assist.

FUNDING ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

This programme is funded by the Commonwealth Department of Social Services and Lotterywest.


Financial Counselling – Exmouth

Offer information, conduct assessments and provide options and support to assist clients manage their financial situation more effectively. To provide Emergency Relief funds when required.

Financial counsellors offer free, independent information, options and advocacy to help people develop the skills, knowledge and confidence to take control of their own financial situation.

WHO THIS IS TYPICALLY FOR

Financial Counselling is for anyone seeking financial information. It is an inclusive service that is appropriate for people in a broad range of socio-economic circumstances.

WHAT THIS SERVICE ENTAILS

Financial Counselling helps people work through any problems they are having with money. This may include managing a household budget, negotiating outstanding bills or saving for the future.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

Financial Counsellors teach people how to maintain their own financial stability independently. There is no fee for this service.

This programme is funded by the Western Australia Department of Child Protection and Family Support.
